WhatsUpANC is a journalism project which gives special attention to the views of young people attending the five-yearly conference of South Africa's governing party, the African National Congress.
Across Africa, more than half of the population is under 24 years of age. Two-thirds of South Africans are under 35. Surveys show they are optimistic about South Africa's future, and not particularly beholden to any one political party. This website aims to give them a voice.
